Egg Drop Wins Matriarch Stakes at Hollywood Park
Las Vegas, NV - The turf at Betfair Hollywood Park played host to the $250,000 Grade 1 Matriarch Stakes Sunday, December 1 and featured the closest Matriarch finish in 32 years. Egg Drop followed up two Grade 2 stakes wins with a terrific Grade 1 score at 10-1 odds. Discreet Marq finished second while last year`s Matriarch winner Better Lucky wound up third. Dayatthespa weakened late to finish fourth, followed by 19-10 favorite Tiz Flirtatious, Wishing Gate, Pianist, Stormy Lucy, and My Gi Gi.
