Catch a Glimpse Wins Appalachian Stakes at Keeneland

The $125,000 Grade 3 Appalachian Stakes Presented by Japan Racing Association went down on Keeneland turf on Thursday, April 14 - a one mile test for three year old fillies. Recently named Canadian Horse of the Year and defending Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf champ Catch a Glimpse was best on the day winning her fifth straight race (fourth straight graded stakes) as the overwhelming 3-5 favorite in the field of 10. 6-1 third choice Ava's Kitten put up a good fight but finished second while 23-1 shot Outsider Art got in for third. Spinamiss was fourth followed by Auntie Joy, Princess Princess, Felt in Pocket, Dothraki Queen, second betting choice Baciami Piccola, and Recognition to complete the order of finish. Miss Katie Mae scratched.
