Heavenly Love Wins Darley Alcibiades Stakes at Keeneland Racecourse

The $400,000 G1 Darley Alcibiades Stakes was run Friday, October 6 at Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky. Two-year-old fillies were featured when they lined up on Keeneland's dirt track and raced 1 1/16 miles. Debby Oxley's homebred filly Heavenly Love proved much the best on the day, dominating the field by an impressive 5 1/2 lengths at 5-1 odds. Heavenly Love gained an automatic berth into the 14 Hands Winery Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies with the win. 3-2 favorite Princess Warrior finished second in the field of 10 while 14-1 shot Dancing held on for third. Sassy Sienna was fourth with 7-2 second choice Kelly's Humor, Bet She Wins, Caroline the Great, Arabella Bella, Over Thinking and Pacific Gale completing the order of finish.
