Las Vegas, NV - The $200,000 Grade 2 Molly Pitcher Stakes went down on the Haskell Invitational undercard at Monmouth Park on the Jersey Shore Sunday, July 28. It was odds on favorite Joyful Victory that did what most expected - post an easy wire-to-wire 7 1/2 length victory in the small field of five. Victory was made a tad easier earlier in the day when Joyful Victory's chief rival Funny Proposition scratched. Wine Princess ran on for second, 7 1/4 lengths ahead of the fading Lady Samuri, whose four-race winning streak came to an end. Winiliscious was fourth and Successful Song trailed.
