United Nations Stakes at Monmouth Park Results

Las Vegas, NV - In the $500,000 Grade 1 United Nations Stakes at Monmouth Park on the Jersey Shore it was Big Blue Kitten, the 5-2 second choice that came up with the huge win by 1 1/4 lengths on Saturday, July 6. In turn, the Chad Brown trainee gained an automatic berth into the Breeders' Cup Turf at Santa Anita Park in November. Teaks North, the 2011 United Nations winner finished second while 47-1 shot Hangover Kid finished third. 8-5 favorite and last year's Breeders' Cup Turf winner Little Mike was a disappointing fourth and Willcox Inn, Skyring, Harrods Creek, and Russian Greek completed the order of finish.
