Monmouth Park in Oceanport, New Jersey was the scene of the $300,000 G1 United Nations Stakes on Saturday, July 1. Horses three years old and upward took to Monmouth's turf track and raced 1 3/8 miles. It was 10-1 longshot Bigger Picture that proved best on the day, earning his first G1 score in course-record time. Can'thelpbelieving finished a good second at 11-1 odds in the field of nine with 7-5 favorite Beach Patrol 1 3/4 lengths back in third. Lucky Lindy was fourth with 5-2 second choice Itsinthepost in fifth and Closing Bell, Oscar Nominated, Liam the Charmer, and Messi completing the order of finish.
