Catch a Glimpse Wins Penn Mile Stakes at Penn National Race Course

The $500,000 Grade 3 Penn Mile Stakes was contested Saturday, June 4 at Penn National Race Course in Grantville, Pennsylvania. Three year olds took to Penn National's turf track and raced one mile. Canada's 2015 Horse of the Year, 8-5 second choice Catch a Glimpse was best on the day in her first start against males, leading throughout and prevailing by a relatively easy 2 1/4 lengths. Stablemate 5-1 third betting choice Airoforce finished second for trainer Mark Casse while 16-1 shot Giant Run got in for third. Silent Waters finished fourth in the field of seven while Oscar Nominated, 7-5 favorite Beach Patrol and Unbridled Daddy completed the order of finish.
