Carve Wins Cornhusker Handicap at Prairie Meadows
Las Vegas, NV - Prairie Meadows in Altoona, Iowa played host to the $300,000 Grade 2 Cornhusker Handicap on Saturday, June 28. Michael Langford's second betting choice Carve emerged by a neck in the eight horse field over Right to Vote who won the Jim Rasmussen Memorial Stakes, the local prep for the Cornhusker. Ground Transport finished a good third. Golden Ticket, the morning line favorite lacked the necessary kick in the end and settled for fourth while Lent, Eriugena, Bellarmine and Coin Broker completed the order of finish.
