Las Vegas, NV - The $150,000 Grade 2 Santa Barbara Handicap was contested on Santa Anita turf Saturday - the winner came as a result of a disqualification. Stewards ruled that pacesetter Argentinean-bred Viva Carina interfered with the advancing Lady of Shamrock giving the 3-10 favorite Lady of Shamrock the win. 8-1 Viva Carina was bumped back to second and British-bred Caelis finished third. The Only Key and Double Ante followed while Long Face and Moone's My Name scratched.
