American Pharoah Wins FrontRunner Stakes at Santa Anita

Las Vegas, NV - Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California played host to the $300,000 Grade 1 FrontRunner Stakes on Saturday, September 27 - the winner getting an automatic berth into the Breeders' Cup Juvenile November 1. Zayat Stables' 1-2 favorite American Pharoah won his second straight Grade 1 race - this time by a convincing 3 1/4 lengths over Calculator who finished second and Texas Red who got up for third. Lord Nelson finished fourth, followed by Daddy D T, Skyway, Conquest Panthera, and Sky Preacher.
