Shared Belief Wins San Antonio Stakes at Santa Anita Park

Las Vegas, NV - The most anticipated race of the weekend - the $500,000 Grade 2 San Antonio Stakes went down at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California on Saturday, February 7 - a 1 1/8 mile showdown between reigning Horse of the Year California Chrome and Shared Belief who many would argue is the most dominant horse on the planet. It was even money favorite Shared Belief that emerged in convincing fashion by 1 1/2 lengths over 7-5 second choice California Chrome and third choice Hoppertunity who finished 6 1/2 lengths back of second. The Chilean-bred gelding Bronzo finished fourth, followed by You Know I Know, Imperative, Tonito M., Alfa Bird and Clubhouse Ride.
