Om Wins Twilight Derby at Santa Anita Park

Las Vegas, NV - The $200,000 Grade 2 Twilight Derby went down on Santa Anita turf in Arcadia, California on Saturday, October 24 - a 1 1/8 mile test for three year olds. K.B. Sareen's overwhelming 1-2 favorite Om did exactly what he was supposed to and bested the field by a relatively easy 2 1/2 lengths. Mister Brightside, who was making his U.S. debut finished a decent second at 9-1 odds while 10-1 shot Royal Albert Hall got up for third. Hunt closed to finish fourth, followed by Soul Driver, Second Summer, Boone Docks, and Verraco, to complete the order of finish. Daddy D T and Ground Rules were scratched.
