My Sweet Addiction Wins Vanity Stakes at Santa Anita Park
Las Vegas, NV - The $300,000 Grade 1 Vanity Stakes went down at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California on Saturday, May 9 - a race that was supposed to feature two-time Eclipse Award winner Beholder who was scratched after spiking a fever on Friday. That left a field of just four to contest the event. My Sweet Addiction posted the upset at 9-2 odds in the 1 1/8 mile dirt test over 7-1 shot Gas Total who finished second and overwhelming 1-9 favorite Warren's Veneda who wound up a disappointing third. Legacy was a far-back fourth.
