Keri Belle Wins Megahertz Stakes at Santa Anita Park
Las Vegas, NV - Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California played host to the Grade 3 $100,000 Megahertz Stakes on Martin Luther King Day Monday, January 18 - a one mile turf test for older fillies and mares. Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Moss' homebred - 12-1 shot Keri Belle proved to be best on the day in the field of 12, in her first start since November. She held off 3-1 second choice Stormy Lucy who finished second and third place 6-1 shot Theatre Star who both made strong bids in the stretch but fell short. My Year Is a Day (FR) finished fourth followed by Journey On, Chaulk O Lattey, 5-2 favorite Glory, Tiz a Kiss, Gender Agenda (GB), Alexis Tangier, Circling (IRE) and Beat of The Drum (IRE) to complete the order of finish. Oscar Party and Sweet as a Rose scratched.
