The $100,000 G3 Robert J. Frankel Stakes was contested Saturday, December 31 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia California - a 1 1/8 mile turf test for fillies and mares three years old and upward. It was Richard Baltas trained 5-2 third choice Goodyearforroses that braved the slop and pulled away late for the impressive 5 1/4 lengths win. Pretty Girl held second at 7-2 odds in a field that was trimmed to just four after heavy rains in California, 7 1/4 lengths ahead of 2-1 second choice Frenzified, who got in for third. 7-5 favorite Keri Belle finished another 15 3/4 lengths back in fourth. Arles, Into The Mystic, Ryans Charm and Sweet Charity all scratched.
