Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California played host to the $200,000 Grade 2 Royal Heroine Stakes on Thursday, May 5 - a one mile turf test for fillies and mares four years old and upward. Hronis Racing's 5-1 shot Nancy From Nairobi survived an inquiry and prevailed in her graded stakes debut - by a half length in the full field of 14 over Irish bred Fauflier who finished second at 9-2 odds and third place finisher Fanticola who was sent off at 11-1.
