Generosidade Wins San Luis Stakes at Santa Anita Park

The $200,000 Grade 2 San Luis Stakes was run on Santa Anita turf in Arcadia, California on Sunday, March 13 - a 1 1/2 mile test for horses four years old and upward. Generosidade came up with a career best effort and stunned the field by 1 1/2 lengths at 71-1 odds. 10-1 shot Quick Casablanca finished second while another longshot 30-1 Energia Fribby got in for third. Highball tired late to finish fourth, followed by Power Foot, Gaga A, 2-1 favorite Big John B, 7-2 second choice Havanna Belle, Southern Freedom, and Going Somewhere, to complete the order of finish. Life's Journey and Patentar scratched.
