The $100,000 G3 Affirmed Stakes was contested Saturday, June 24 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California. Three year olds were featured when they took to Santa Anita's dirt track and raced 1 1/16 miles. Overwhelming 1-9 favorite Battle of Midway proved to be too much for the competition as he emerged by 4 1/4 lengths. 6-1 second choice B Squared finished second in the field that was trimmed to just four with Term Of Art claiming third at 8-1 odds - another 4 1/2 lengths back. Quiet Dude trailed throughout and finished fourth while Arms Runner scratched.
