Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California played host to the $200,000 G2 Charles Whittingham Stakes on Sunday, May 28. Horses four years old and upward were featured when they took to Santa Anita's turf track and raced 1 1/4 miles. 2015 winner of this race and 5-2 second choice in this edition, Ashleyluvssugar used a well-timed move to best the field by just over a half length. 9-1 shot Frank Conversation got up for second in the field of 10, a head better than Syntax who settled for third at 7-1 odds. Liam the Charmer was fourth while 9-5 favorite Itsinthepost, Texas Ryano, Up With the Birds, Patentar, Prince of Arabia and A Red Tie Day completed the order of finish.
