Vale Dori Wins La Cañada Stakes at Santa Anita Park
Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California played host to the $200,000 G2 La Cañada Stakes on Saturday, January 14. Fillies and mares four years old and upward were featured when they took to Santa Anita's dirt track and raced 1 1/16 miles. Bob Baffert trained, overwhelming 1-5 race favorite Vale Dori did what most expected and posted her second straight G2 stakes win - by 2 1/2 lengths over 13-1 shot Show Stealer and Autumn Flower who was sent off at 20-1 odds. 3-1 second choice Wild At Heart was fourth in the field of five while Enduring Erin trailed.
