Royal Mo Wins Robert B. Lewis Stakes at Santa Anita Park

Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California played host to the $150,000 G3 Robert B. Lewis Stakes on Saturday, February 4 - a 1 1/16 mile dirt test for three year olds. It was Jerry and Ann Moss' Royal Mo that proved much the best on the day - emerging from the five horse field by an impressive front-running 3 1/2 length score. Uncle Mo, in turn, earned 10 qualifying points toward the Kentucky Derby in May. Maiden Irap made it interesting but eventually faded and settled for second while favorite Sheer Flattery came third after a wide trip in the first turn. G3 winner Term of Art came in fourth, followed by Dangerfield, to complete the order of finish.
