Danzing Candy Wins San Carlos Stakes at Santa Anita Park

The $250,000 G2 San Carlos Stakes went down Saturday, July 1 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California. Horses three years old and upward took to Santa Anita's dirt track and raced seven furlongs. 4-year-old Twirling Candy colt - 1-5 race favorite Danzing Candy got a quick jump on the five-horse field and held on for the neck victory over a game 5-2 second choice Ransom the Moon who settled for second and Kobe's Back who finished third, another 6 1/2 lengths back at 7-1 odds. Coastline was fourth while Cool Cowboy completed the order of finish.
