Drefong Wins King's Bishop Stakes at Saratoga Race Course

The $500,000 Ketel One King's Bishop Stakes was contested Saturday, August 26 at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York. Three year olds took to Saratoga's dirt track and raced seven furlongs. Charles Chu's 3-1 race favorite Drefong took the lead early and held on for a relatively easy 3 1/4 length win. 7-1 shot Economic Model finished second in the field of 12 while Noholdingbackbear got in for a good third at 25-1 odds. 4-1 third choice Summer Revolution was fourth while Mind Your Biscuits, Fish Trappe Road, Tale of S'avall, Bird Song, Tom's Ready, Rated R Superstar, 7-2 second choice Mohaymen, and Star Hill completed the order of finish.
