Proctor's Ledge Wins Lake Placid Stakes at Saratoga Race Course
The $300,000 G2 Lake Placid Stakes was contested Saturday, August 19 at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York - a 1 1/8-mile turf test for three-year-old fillies. Patricia Moseley's homebred, 2-1 second choice Proctor's Ledge posted her second straight graded stakes score on Saratoga lawn - this time by three quarters of a length. British bred 9-5 favorite Uni finished second in the field that was trimmed to just five with Party Boat getting in for third at 6-1 odds. 5-2 second choice La Coronel was fourth with Coasted completing the order of finish. Berned scratched.
