Destin Wins Sam F. Davis Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs
Las Vegas, NV - Tampa Bay Downs in Tampa, Florida played host to the $250,000 Sam F. Davis Stakes on Saturday, February 13 - a 1 1/16 mile race for three year olds on Tampa Bay's dirt track. Todd Pletcher trained 4-1 shot Destin earned his first stakes win in the race - by 2 1/4 lengths over 3-1 second choice Rafting and Morning Fire who finished third at 7-2 odds. Awesome Slate, 8-5 favorite Gettysburg and Whatawonderflworld completed the order of finish while No More Chillin scratched.
