Queen's Plate Stakes at Woodbine Racetrack Results
Las Vegas, NV - The first leg in Canada's Triple Crown, the $1 million Queen's Plate was held on Sunday, July 7 at Woodbine Racetrack. Although still ungraded, the race is one of the most prestigious on Canadian soil. Midnight Aria stole the show for trainer Nick Gonzalez at 16-1 odds in sloppy conditions at Woodbine in gate-to-wore fashion finishing a half length in front of 8-5 favorite Up With the Birds. Mark Casse trainees followed - Dynamic Sky was 7 1/2 lengths back in third and the filly Spring in the Air finished fourth. Jagger M was next followed by His Race to Win, Pyrite Mountain, Woodbine Oaks winner Nipissng, the Casse-trained Kaigun, River Seven, County Lineman, and Rackman.
