Lockout Wins Connaught Cup Stakes at Woodbine Racetrack

Las Vegas, NV - Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario was the scene of the $200,000 Grade 2 Connaught Cup Stakes on Saturday, May 30 - a seven furlong dash for horses four years old and upward. John Oxley's Lockout utilized a sizzling final sixteenth to post his first graded stakes win by a lengths over Phil's Dream who finished second and River Seven who wound up third. Excaper, the 3-1 favorite and the 122-pound topweight, was fourth, followed by Conquest Top Gun, Dimension, and Eminent Force to complete the order of finish. Something Extra, Golden Sabre, and Chart Topper were scratched.
