Messi Wins Sky Classic Stakes at Woodbine Racetrack

Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario played host to the $200,000 Grade 2 Sky Classic Stakes on Sunday, July 21. Horses three years old and upward were featured when they took to Woodbine's turf track and went 1 1/4 miles. Gestut Brummerhof's German homebred Messi was best on the day - emerging by 2 1/4 lengths in the field of seven at 4-1 odds. Graded stakes winners on this track - 2-1 second choice Are You Kidding Me finished second while 8-5 favorite Up With the Birds got in for third. Button Down was fourth with Clearer View, Don Camillo and Fixador completing the order of finish. Dynamic Sky scratched.
