Leigh Court Wins Whimsical Stakes at Woodbine Racetrack

Woodbine Racetrack in Beautiful Toronto, Ontario hosted the $150,000 Grade 3 Whimsical Stakes on Sunday, April 10. Fillies and mares four years old and upward took to Woodbine's All Weather track and dashed six furlongs. Speedway Stables' overwhelming 3-5 favorite Leigh Court, Canada's champion 3-year-old filly in 2013 that did what most expected and bested the field of six by a neck. 5-1 shot Galina Point finished second, a neck in front of third-place finisher Skylander Girl who was sent off as the 3-1 second choice. Ida Bambina finished fourth while Sweetsoutherndame and Green Doctor completed the order of finish.
