Capla Temptress Wins Natalma Stakes at Woodbine Racetrack
The $250,000 G1 Natalma Stakes was contested Sunday, September 17 at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario. Two-year-old fillies lined up on Woodbine's turf track and raced one mile. Irish-bred invader Capla Temptress made the most of her North American debut and secured victory at 5-1 odds thanks to a terrific stretch run, earning an automatic berth into the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf with the win. 13-1 shot Dixie Moon finished a good second in the field of nine while 2-1 favorite Wonder Gadot settled for third. March X Press, who was also sent off at 2-1 was fourth with Pretty Lady, Golden Orb, Mo Big Cat, Delamar and Dooder completing the order of finish.
