Grizzel Wins Selene Stakes at Woodbine Racetrack

Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario was the scene of the $125,000 G3 Selene Stakes on Sunday, May 21. Three year old fillies were featured when they took to Woodbine's All Weather Track and raced 1 1/16 miles. Merriebelle Stable and Anna Doyle's 3-1 second betting choice Grizzel posted her first ever graded stakes score, upsetting 2-1 favorite Enstone who got in for second. 13-1 shot Sister Nation finished third in the field of 10 while Silhouette was another three-quarters of a length back in fourth, Superduper, Financial Recovery, Cindervella, Gale Force, Ghostly Presence, and Addictive completed the order of finish.
