Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 2 Natalma Stakes comes our way from Woodbine in Toronto, Ontario this Saturday, September 15. Two year old fillies will go one mile on Woodbine's turf track with a berth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf on the line as they chase their portion of the $250,000 purse.

The Natalma has attracted a full field of 14 juvenile females with one also-eligible for race 6 on Woodbine's Saturday card. Post time is 3:45 PM. Let's take a look at the entries and how it should all play out on Saturday.

2012 Natalma Stakes Race Favorites

Spring in the Air - finished second in her debut as favorite in the Shady Well Stakes here on July 15 and followed that up with an impressive 10 length score in her only other career start - a Maiden Special Weight score on August 4. Trainer Mark E. Casse has fielded three of the last six winners in this race and likes his chances with Spring in the Air in this one.

Spring Venture - is another Mark Casse entry so she has to be mentioned. She has one career star - a very nice 4 1/4 length score on this track August 18 in a Maiden Special Weight race.

Coconut Shrimp - Todd Pletcher trained filly won her only career start as favorite - a Maiden Special Weight race on turf at Saratoga on August 13. She delivered on her promise in that race and figures to be in the mix Saturday.

Natalma Stakes 2012 | Remaining Field Entries

Nancy O - Irish bred filly is the first foal of former Canadian Horse of the Year Arravale but has just a fifth place finish and a decent second last time out in her two career starts.

Carmel Beauty - is the sister of Arravale who finished third in her only career start on this track behind Rutherford Rd who also saddles up in the Natalma.

Rutherford Rd - is one of the most experienced fillies in the field but has had just a sixth, a fifth and a seventh place finish before winning last time out in a Maiden Special Weight here on August 24.

Tiz Rio - has run the fastest of any of the entries in the Natalma in her only start - a six furlong Maiden Special Weight score here by 5 1/2 lengths on July 27.

Summer of Fun - was also very fast last time out in winning a Maiden Special Weight at Saratoga to follow a fifth place finish in her career debut.

Kitten's Dumpling - won a Maiden Special Weight race by two lengths in her only career start for trainer Michael Maker.

Incredible Journey - also prevailed in her only career start for trainer Wayne Catalano - a Maiden Special Weight at Arlington Park on July 27.

Shenandoah Lady - debuted on this track with a third place finish in a Maiden Special Weight on July 27 but won a similar race last time out here on August 12.

Dancing for Glory - Chad Brown trained filly has only one career start which resulted in a second in a Maiden Special Weight at Saratoga on August 13.

Bwana Go Fast - is one of two fillies entered with four career starts. She won a Maiden Claiming race here on July 7 but has finished fourth in her last two starts - the Ontario Debutante Stakes and an Allowance last time out.

Sure Would - finished second in her only career start - a Maiden Special Weight race here on August 18.

Fearless Jacq - Also-eligible entry makes her North American debut after one race in Ireland produced a win.
