Las Vegas, NV - Thanksgiving weekend is over and so is another insane weekend of graded stakes action. Top notch horse races took place all over North America this weekend with huge races at Aqueduct, Betfair Hollywood Park and even north of the border at Woodbine. Remsen Stakes at Aqueduct Results

Repole Stable's Overanalyze rallied to nip Chad Brown trained Normandy Invasion by three quarters of a length to capture the Grade 2 Remsen Stakes Nov. 24 by a nose at Aqueduct Racetrack - the first official qualifying points race for next year`s Kentucky Derby. In turn Overanalyze earned the maximum 10 points toward qualification into next year's Run for the Roses. Delhomme, another one of the three Todd Pletcher trained entries and the Remsen pacesetter finished third after succumbing to Overanalyze and Normandy Invasion at the end.

Cigar Mile Handicap at Aqueduct Results

Todd Pletcher trained 3-1 second choice Stay Thirsty won a thriller over the even money favorite, filly and Horse of the Year contender Groupie Doll in Saturday's Grade 1 $350,000 Cigar Mile Handicap at Aqueduct. Coil finished third in the field of five while Buffum was fourth and Hymn Book finished fifth. Scratched from the Cigar Mile was 2010 winner Jersey Town, who spiked a fever Saturday morning and was retired. Also withdrawn was Associate.

Gazelle Stakes at Aqueduct Results

8-5 favorite and Godolphin Racing's Dance Card gave jockey Ramon Dominguez his fifth win on Saturday's card at Aqueduct when posting an easy four-length victory in the Grade 1, $350,000 Gazelle in wire-to-wire winner fashion. Puerto Rican challenger My Wandy`s Girl caught 22-1 Sea Island at the end and finished second by a neck. Lady Cohiba finished fourth, followed by 9-5 second choice Book Review, Jemima's Pearl, and Wildcat's Smile.

Generous Stakes at Hollywood Park Results

In Grade 3, $100,000 Generous at Hollywood Park for two year olds on Saturday, Den's Legacy, the 6-5 favorite, barely beat out the other bettors favorites for trainer Bob Baffert. The respective second and third choices, Rising Legend and Shining Copper, completed the top three while separated by 1 1/4 lengths at the wire. One Firm Cat won a photo for fourth, followed by Tree of Life, Under Review, Counting Days, Christopher Street, Dancin Upside Down, and Ekahi.

Matriarch Stakes at Hollywood Park Results

Godolphin Racing's Better Lucky took advantage of a bizarre mishap to 8-5 favorite Dayatthespa was in Sunday's Grade 1, $250,000 Matriarch at Hollywood Park. Better Lucky went on to post a 35-1 upset when Dayatthespa spooked in the lead up to the race and was unable to calm throughout although she finished fifth somehow. Tiz Flirtatious made good late progress to get up for second, 2 1/4 lengths ahead of Summer Soiree who finished third in one of the most bizarre races of the year so far.

Hollywood Derby at Hollywood Park Results

7-1 Unbridled Command, making his first appearance outside of New York, stepped into grade I company with an impressive victory in the $250,000 Hollywood Derby the final race of the 2012 Turf Festival at Betfair Hollywood Park Nov. 25. Grandeur the mild 7-2 favorite, made a big run from last on the far outside to take second by a head over Lucky Chappy who finished third.

Bessarabian Stakes at Woodbine Results

Magic Broomstick flew home late under jockey Emma-Jayne Wilson to take the $150,000 seven furlong Grade 3 Bessarabian Stakes by 1 1/4 lengths Saturday at Woodbine. Wyomia provided a game late charge but came up a bit short in second while 2-1 favorite Atlantic Hurricane finished third. Moment of Majesty finished fourth, followed by Miss Inclined, Her Smile, Silent Serenity, Roxy Gap, and Stars to Shine. Actionontwo and Forest Uproar were scratched.
