Las Vegas, NV - Belmont Park in Elmont, New York will be the scene of the Grade 3 Bed 'o Roses Handicap this Saturday, June 15. Fillies and mares three years old and upward will be featured as they dash seven furlongs on Belmont Park's dirt track in search of the winner's share of the $150,000 purse.

2013 Bed 'o Roses Handicap Race Favorites

Fantasy of Flight - had a very nice 9 3/4 length win in an Optional Claiming race in October after a less-than-impressive ninth in the Grade 1 Humana Distaff at Churchill Downs way back in May 2012. She was a pedestrian fifth in the Grade 2 Go for Wand Handicap at Aqueduct November 23 and followed that with a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming race at Gulfstream January 12 and a good second in the Grade 3 Hurricane Bertie Stakes at Gulfstream February 10. She has been inconsistent in her last two starts as well - an eighth two back in the Grade 1 Madison Stakes in April followed by a good second in the Grade 2 Vagrancy Stakes here May 18. She has finished second in three of her last four starts and will be looking for a breakthrough Saturday as the morning line favorite.

Dance to Bristol - has finished with first or second in 14 of her 15 career starts but she steps up in graded stakes company for the first time Saturday. Dance to Bristol enters on a four race win streak - the best results coming in her last two - the minor Skipat Stakes by 4 3/4 lengths at Pimlico May 17 and in the minor Sugar Maple Stakes by nine lengths last time out at Charles Town April 20 after a couple of Allowance Optional Claiming scores at Laurel Park this year. She has been competitive in every career start but makes a huge step up in the Bed o' Roses. She stars from post 3 and is the morning line second choice at 5-2 odds.

Withgreatpleasure - is the lone graded stakes winner in the field and had runner-up finishes in four straight minor stakes races including the Affectionately Stakes at Aqueduct January 26 and the Thirty Eight Go Go Stakes behind Onepointhreekarats December 22. She broke that streak with an OK third in the Grade 2 Barbara Fritchie Handicap behind Funnys Approval and My Wandy's Girl February 16 and followed that with a disappointing sixth in the Grade 2 Top Flight Handicap March 2. However Withgreatpleasure won her next two - the Grade 2 Ruffian at Aqueduct April 6 and a Handicap at Charles Town March 19. Last time out was an OK third in the Grade 1 Vagrancy Handicap on this track May 18.

Delightful Quality - has seven career starts for trainer Thomas Albertini and has placed in all but steps up in graded stakes company for the first time Saturday. She is coming off an Allowance Optional Claiming score here May 24 after a second in the minor Cagey Exuberance Stakes January 27 and a third in the Garland of Roses Stakes - both results at Aqueduct this past winter.

Willet - has won four of her last seven starts and has placed in all 12 career starts but hasn't raced since November 2012 - a good second in the Grade 2 Go for Wand Handicap behind Nefertini at Aqueduct. Before that Willet had a very impressive 9 1/4 length win in the Iroquois Stakes over this distance on this track. She has eight wins in her impressive career for trainer James Iselin but rust could be a factor Saturday as she goes from post 6 at 5-1 odds.

Munnings Sister - made her graded stakes debut February 10 and finished seventh in the Grade 2 Hurricane Bertie Stakes after nine career starts yielded four wins and a third place finish with a disappointing ninth in the minor Safely Kept Stakes at Laurel Park and a sixth in the Imperial Gesture Stakes at Belmont Park October 24 to close out 2012. Last time out was a nice bounce back however - a win in the minor Gold Prince Stakes on this track April 28. She is the longest shot on the board but hopes for a big effort Saturday.
