Las Vegas, NV - Delaware Park in Stanton, Delaware will be the scene of the Grade 2 Delaware Oaks this Saturday, July 13. The race will feature three year old fillies willing to go 1 1/16 miles on Delaware Park's dirt track in search of the winner's share of the $300,000 purse.

Nine three year old fillies will take part in the Delaware Oaks - race 8 on Delaware Park's Saturday card. Post time is 4:45 PM. Let's take a look into the past performances of all nine entries for this Grade 2 stakes.

2013 Delaware Oaks Race Favorites

Tell a Great Story - most recently won the Go for Wand Stakes in her stakes debut here June 15 over Ile St. Molly by a nose, Alli Leigh and Broomsage for her second straight win - the other being an Allowance Optional Claiming at Pimlico May 12. She has three wins, one second and a third place finish in five career starts and is the morning line favorite for the Delaware Oaks despite drawing an unfavorable post 9.

Ile St. Molly - had a couple of minor stakes scores this year for trainer Kenny Miller and is the only two-time stakes winner in the field - the Rainbow Miss in March and the Our Mims on this track May 18 and is coming off a good second in the Go for Wand Stakes here June 15 ahead of Alli Leigh and Broomsage and behind Tell a Great Story. She didn't start her career in terrific fashion but her recent efforts have opened a few eyes ahead of the Delaware Oaks. The Delaware Oaks will be the longest race in her career but she enters as the most decorated of the entries.

Maracuya - broke maiden in her career debut at Gulfstream March 6 an followed that with an Allowance Optional Claiming score on the same track. Last time out was her stakes debut in her third career start - a respectable fourth after fading badly in the Grade 2 Black-Eyed Susan Stakes at Pimlico May 17.

Diva Spirit - makes her graded stakes debut Saturday after some sketchy results against lesser competition. Last time out was a fourth in the minor Lotka Stakes after a fifth in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Churchill Downs. She did break maiden in her second career start but it remains the only time she's placed in her four race career.

Makayla's Angel - H. Graham Motion trained filly races for just the fifth time Saturday after four career starts generated two wins and a third place finish. She enters the Delaware Oaks on a two race win streak - an Allowance here June 12 and a MSW also on this track May 22. Saturday marks her stakes debut.

Dancing Afleet - Timothy Ritchey pupil enters having win two straight races on this very track by a combined 11 1/2 lengths - an Allowance Optional Claiming last time out June 24 and a MSW June 13. His other two career results were a third in a MSW and a fourth in her debut in a MSW at Oaklawn Park in April.

Alli Leigh - will make her graded stakes debut Saturday for trainer Steve Asmussen having won two of her last three starts - a MSW at Oaklawn March 3 and an Allowance on that same track in April. Last time out was a respectable third in the minor Go for Wand Stakes 11 1/2 lengths back right here June 15. She has two wins, a second and two third place finishes in seven career starts. She has won her last two races at this distance and could be a surprise Saturday.

Broomsage - Michael Matz trained filly has six career starts with just one win and a pair of third place finishes. Last time out was a fourth in the Go for Wand Stakes right behind Alli Leigh June 15 after a decent third in the minor Our Mims Stakes on this track May 18. Directly before that was a MSW score at Pimlico May 2.

Maddy's Dance - won a pair of Claiming races at Laurel Park in Mach but has struggled a tad since. Last time out was a third in an Allowance Optional Claiming after a fourth in the minor Our Mims Stakes behind Broomsage here May 18 and a seventh in an Allowance at Pimlico in May.
