Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 3 Eatontown Handicap goes down this Saturday, June 29 from Monmouth Park on Oceanport, New Jersey. Fillies and mares three years old and upward will take to the track and go 1 1/16 miles on Monmouth Park's turf track in search of the winner's share of the $100,000 purse.

2013 Eatontown Handicap Race Favorites

Dayatthespa - won five of her six starts in 2012, three of the graded stakes variety - the Grade 1 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup at Keeneland October 13, the Riskaverse Stakes at Saratoga August 31, the Grade 3 Appalachian back in April, the Grade 3 Herecomesthebride Stakes on March 11 and the Sweetest Chant Stakes on January 22 both at Gulfstream. Her last 2012 action came November 25 and was the only time she didn't taste victory last year - a disappointing fifth in the Grade 1 Matriarch at Hollywood Park. Dayatthespa has just one start in 2013 - a win in the minor You Go West Girl Stakes by four lengths at this distance at Belmont Park May 5. She is the highweight and the morning line favorite for the Eatontown.

Ruthenia - won two straight in the spring of last year - the Grade 3 Violet Stakes on May 28 and before that was an Allowance Optional Claiming win in April at Gulfstream. Ruthenia has since finished fourth in three straight stakes races - last year's Eatontown Handicap in June, the Grade 2 Ballston Spa in August and in the Grade 3 Athenia Stakes at Belmont Park way back in October. In 2013 she has two starts - a sixth in the Grade 3 Beaugay Stakes in May and a win in the minor Miss Liberty Stakes at this distance last time out on this track May 26. She has won two of three career starts on Monmouth turf and is the morning line second choice.

Peace Preserver - Todd Pletcher trained filly won the minor Pebbles Stakes at Belmont Park October 8 but followed that with an eighth in her graded stakes debut - the Grade 2 Mrs. Revere Stakes at Churchill Downs November 17. In 2013 she has a third place finish in an Allowance Optional Claiming March 22 at Gulfstream, a very nice second in the Grade 3 Beaugay Stakes behind Hessonite at Belmont Park May 4 and a third last time out in the minor Mariensky Stakes at Belmont Park June 7.

Ima Jersey Girl - won the Jersey Girl Handicap on this track September 15 but has failed to place in two starts since - a fifth in the minor Crowned Stakes in November and a fourth last time out in the minor Fort Monmouth Stakes here June 8.

Laughing - had two straight wins in Europe before shipping to North America where she was seventh in her debut here in the Grade 1 E.P. Taylor Stakes at Woodbine in October 2011. 2012 was better for Laughing - a win in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Aqueduct in April was followed by an OK third in the Grade 3 Gallorette Handicap at Pimlico in May and an impressive win as favorite in the Grade 3 Matchmaker Stakes here on July 29. She raced to an eighth in the Grade 3 Canadian Stakes in September, a third in the Grade 3 Athenia Stakes in October and was last seen finishing second to Silver Screamer in the minor Lady Baltimore Stakes October 27. Saturday marks Laughing's 2013 debut.

Namaskara - H. Graham Motion trained mare has a win and two second place finishes in 2013. She started the year with an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Gulfstream and went on to a second in a similar race at Keeneland in April. Last time out was a second in the minor Miss Liberty Stakes right here May 26. Her only graded stakes action came in July 2012 - a seventh in the Grade 3 Robert G. Dick Memorial at Delaware Park.

Naples Bay - had a 4 1/4 length win in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Monmouth Park last August 17 and followed that with a nice win in the Grade 3 Noble Damsel Stakes at Belmont Park in September. She had an ugly seventh in the minor Lady Baltimore Stakes at Laurel Park in October but bounced back with a good third in the Grade 3 My Charmer Handicap at Calder way back on November 22. In her only start of 2013 Naples Bay was fifth in the Grade 3 Beaugay Stakes at Belmont Park May 4.

Silver Screamer - is the defending champion in this race that has just one win in five starts since - the minor Lady Baltimore Stakes in October at Laurel Park. She has just one start in 2013 - a seventh in the Grade 3 Gallorette Handicap at Pimlico May 18. Silver Screamer has seven wins, three seconds and two third place finishes in 17 career starts for trainer Rudy Rodriguez.

Peggy Joyce - has 18 career starts with three wins, three seconds and three third place finishes. Last time out was an Allowance Optional Claiming score on this track May 27 after failing to place in four previous Allowance Optional Claiming starts. She also won an Allowance optional Claiming in this track back in September.

In the Rough - Kelly Breen trained mare is coming off an Allowance score at Delaware Park June 15 after a fifth and a fourth respectively in a pair of Allowance Optional Claiming races at Gulfstream. She won the minor Forever Together Stakes in September for her best career result and has six wins in his 33 career starts.
