Las Vegas, NV - Turfway Park in Florence, Kentucky will be the scene of the Grade 3 Fathead Bourbonette Oaks this Saturday, March 23 on the same card that will see 50 points toward Kentucky Derby qualification handed out. Three year old fillies will race one mile on Turfway Park's all weather tack in search of the winner's share of the $100,000 purse and 50 points toward qualification in the Kentucky Oaks May 3.

2013 Fathead Bourbonette Oaks Race Favorites

Pure Fun - Kenneth McPeek trained filly is coming off a terrific win in the Grade 1 Hollywood Starlet Stakes at Hollywood Park December 8 after an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Churchill Downs in November by 9 1/4 lengths. In her other six career starts she managed a win, a second and a third place finish. With two straight impressive wins Pure Fun enters in the best form of her career and the morning line favorite in the Fathead Bourbonette.

Le Fascinator - H Graham Motion trained filly has two wins in four career starts - a MSW in her debut and an Allowance Optional Claiming by 2 1/4 lengths at Tampa Bay Downs last time out February 17. Sandwiched in there is a fourth and a sixth in Allowance Optional Claiming races at Gulfstream.

Silsita - Todd Pletcher trained filly makes her stakes debut Saturday after a third in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Gulfstream last time out, a fourth before that and a MSW score at Calder in her debut November 29.

Broken Spell - D. Wayne Lukas pupil finished a respectable sixth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies and followed that with a fifth in the Grade 2 Golden Rod Stakes at Churchill Downs November 24. Since then she has been up and down - a seven thin the minor Mistletoe Stakes at Remington Park was followed by a pair of thirds - an Allowance Optional Claiming and the minor Martha Washington Stakes - both results at Oaklawn Park. Last time out was a disappointing sixth in the Grade 3 Honeybee Stakes also at Oaklawn Park March 9.

Martha's Moon - had two straight minor stakes wins in the summer - the Catcharisingstar Stakes at Calder in August and the Blue Hen Stakes at Delaware Park in September but struggled to a sixth in the minor Chelsea Flower Stakes at Belmont Park in October. Last time out was an OK third in the Gasparilla Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs January 12.

Awesome Mama - has just two career starts - both wins. After breaking maiden in her debut on this track December 8 she went on to an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Oaklawn Park last time out on January 27.

Corporate Culture - has just three career starts for trainer Chad Brown with one win and one third place finish. Last time out was a distant ninth in the minor Ginger Brew Stakes at Gulfstream January 1 after breaking maiden at Belmont Park October 28. She tries dirt for the first time Saturday.

Marathon Lady - broke maiden last time out in her third career start at Oaklawn Park February 21. Before that was a second and a fourth respectively in a pair of MSW races.

Miss Squeal - will race in stakes company for the first time Saturday after five MSW races produced a win, a second and a third place finish. Last time out was a fifth in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Gulfstream February 16.

Always Kitten - Michael Maker trained filly had a seventh in an Allowance last time out on this track March 2 after a third in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Gulfstream January 20. Her only graded stakes action came five back - a disappointing tenth in the Grade 3 JPMorgan Chase Jessamine Stakes at Keeneland in October in just her third career start.

Anahauc - has seven career starts - all MSW races with a win and four second place finishes. Last time out she recorded her first and only win - at Fair Grounds February 23.

Street of Gold - won an Allowance here last time out March 2 after a fifth in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Fair Grounds December 31. Her only stakes action came three back - a seventh in the Grade 2 Golden Rod Stakes at Churchill Downs November 24. She has two wins in five career starts.
