Las Vegas, NV - The Zia Park Distance Championship Handicap concludes a full day of racing at Zia Park in the great stat of New Mexico. A purse of $150,000 will be on the line for horses three years old and upward willing to go 1 1/8 miles on Zia Park's dirt track.

2013 Zia Park Distance Championship Handicap Race Favorite Entries

Ol Winedrinker Who - won the Zia Park Derby in December and has just one start on this track since - a win last time out in the minor Veteran Stakes November 4. He hasn't had a whole lot of success elsewhere however - a pair of sevenths at Remington Park immediately preceded his latest score although he did have an Allowance score at Canterbury Park in July and an OK third in the minor Edward J. Debartolo Memorial at Remington Park in August. Ol Winedrinker Who has two wins and a second in his last three starts on this track, is the 3-1 morning line favorite and departs from the rail Sunday.

No Spin - has 24 career starts with five wins, three seconds and four third place finishes. He enters this weekend having placed in seven straight starts - an Allowance Optional Claiming score last time out at Remington Park and a win in the minor Arapahoe Park Classic Stakes in August being the highlights. No Spin makes his Zia Park debut this weekend and is 4-1 on the morning line.

Red Lead - finished second in this race last year and has three wins, a second and two third place finishes in 11 starts since. Her best result this year came in February - a win in the Curribot Stakes at Sunland Park. Red Lead has finished third in two of his last three starts including the minor Prairie Meadows Handicap in July and last time out in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Remington Park October 17. He has placed in just two of his last five starts overall however but is the third choice on the morning line at 5-1 odds.

Congenial - is coming off a good second on this track behind Ol` Winedrinker Who in the minor Veteran Stakes November 4 - his best result since an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Oaklawn Park in March. Congenial has three wins, a second and three third place finishes in nine starts this year and will look to build upon his recent success on this track. He lines up from post 3 at 6-1 odds.

Treacherous - has won three of his last five starts heading into this weekend including a the Ruidoso Downs Thoroughbred Championship September 2 and the New Mexico State Fair Handicap September 22. He most recently finished an OK third in the minor Veteran Stakes on this track November 4. He has recorded three wins, a second and a third place finish in his last five starts overall. Treacherous is 8-1 on the morning line and leaves from the far outside post Sunday.

Caberneigh - Steve Asmussen trained gelding had a nice three race win streak in the summer end with a good second in the minor Remington Green Stakes September 29. Last time out was a fourth in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Remington Park October 17. Caberneigh is 8-1 on the morning line and departs from post 2.

Toccetive - won the Grade 3 Canadian Derby last year and followed that win a win in the minor Speed to Spare Stakes last September. He took eight months off and struggled to three straight sixth place finishes upon his return. Last time out was a sixth in the Grade 3 BC Premier's Handicap at Hastings October 4 after a second in the Speed to Spar Stakes at Northlands Park in September and a third before that in the minor Westerner Stakes. Toccative has placed in just two of seven starts this year but is 10-1 on the morning line.

Jaycito - Simon Callahan trainee has five starts this year but has failed to place in any. His last win came in an Allowance at Hollywood Park in December. You have to go back to late 2011/early 2012 to find the last time Jaycito place in a graded stakes race - in five tries since his best result was a sixth. Jaycito is very experience but in poor form and goes off at 12-1 odds from post 8.

Key Decision - Argentinean bred gelding has 11 starts this year with zero wins, a second and three third place finishes. He enters having run nine straight Claiming races recording a second and three thirds over that span. He steps up in company this Sunday in less-than-scintillating form.

Keyboard Courage - Henry Dominguez trained gelding is coming off a seventh in the minor Veteran Stakes on this track after an OK second in an Allowance here October 8 and a pair of Claiming scores at Del Mar this summer. Keyboard Courage has 12 career starts with four wins and three second place finishes. He leaves from post 4 Sunday at 30-1 odds.

Big Tall Paul - has 10 starts this year with two wins and a third place finish but hasn't tasted victory since a Claiming at Will Rogers in April. Last time out was a third in a Claiming here October 29 after a sixth in an Allowance and a fourth in an Allowance Optional Claiming - all on this track. He is a veteran of 35 career starts but has just eight wins over that span. Big Tall Paul is 30-1 on the morning line and leaves from post 7.

Smack Ridge - most recently finished fourth in the minor Veteran Stakes on this track November 4 - the fourth straight time he finished off the board on this track. Smack Ridges has a win and three third place finishes in nine starts this year but hasn't looked all that good here recently. He is the longest shot in the field at 30-1 odds as he departs from post 9.
