Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 1 Acorn Stakes comes our way from a very busy Belmont Park in Elmont, New York on Saturday, June 7. Three year old fillies will be featured in this one turn one mile test as they chase the winner's share of the $750,000 purse.

A field of 13 sophomore fillies will line up in the Acorn Stakes - race 6 on Belmont Park's ridiculously stacked Saturday card. Post time is 2:32 PM. My Miss Sophia - highly regarded Todd Pletcher trained filly will race for just the fifth time Saturday. She broke maiden by an impressive 11 lengths March 9 after a second in a similar race on that track February 9 and had a true breakthrough performance two back - a win in the Grade 2 Gazelle Stakes by 7 1/4 lengths at Aqueduct April 5. She followed that with a second last time out to Untapable in the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks May 2. My Miss Sophia has two wins and two seconds in four career starts and is the overwhelming 6-5 favorite for the Acorn. Javier Castellano rides from gate 8.

Artemis Agrotera - Michael Hushion trainee most recently finished a disappointing fifth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies after a win in the Grade 1 Frizette Stakes over Sweet Reason at Belmont Park October 6 and an 11 3/4 length MSW score in her debut at Saratoga August 16. She hopes to bounce back from her only career loss when she leaves from post 9 with Jose Ortiz aboard at 5-1 odds.

Fiftyshadesofgold - three time stakes winner began her career at Lone Star and posted a MSW victory by an impressive 10 lengths in that race. The Bret Calhoun trained filly next stepped up into stakes company and won the minor Debutante Stakes by an equally impressive eight lengths at Churchill Downs June 22. She is coming off her first graded stakes score - the Grade 3 Eight Belles Stakes at Churchill Downs May 2 after a second in the Grade 2 Fair Grounds Oaks March 29 and a win in the minor Two Altazano Stakes at Sam Houston in February. She has four wins, a second and a third place finish in six career starts and is expected to be competitive again Saturday. Mike Smith gets the call from post 3 at 8-1 odds.

Sweet Reason - has six career starts with three wins, a second and a third place finish - the only off-the-board finish coming three back - a fourth beaten by only two lengths in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies. She started her career with two wins - the best of which came in the Grade 1 Spinaway Stakes by 5 3/4 lengths at Saratoga in September and followed that with a second behind the terrific Untapable in the Grade 1 Frizette at Belmont Park in October before her BC attempt. Last time out was a third in the Grade 2 Gazelle Stakes at Aqueduct April 5 after she returned to the winner's circle with an Allowance Optional Claiming score March 7. Sweet Reason will have Irad Ortiz in the saddle from post 5 at 10-1 odds.

Unbridled Forever - has two wins and two third place finishes in five career starts - one of those wins coming four back - a maiden score November 30. She went on to a nice win in the minor Silverbulletday Stakes at Fair Grounds in January and has posted consecutive thirds since - behind Untapable in the Grade 2 Fair Grounds Oaks March 29 and last time out behind Beholder in the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks May 2. Unbridled Forever will have Joel Rosario in the reins Saturday - from post 7 at 10-1 odds.

Fashion Plate - Simon Callahan trainee broke maiden December 29 in gate to wire fashion by 6 1/2 lengths in her third career start - at Santa Anita after a third and a seventh respectively in a pair of MSW races. She made a huge statement with a terrific win over Streaming in the Grade 1 Las Virgenes Stakes with a career best 83 Beyer Speed Figure February 1 and followed that with another terrific win - in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Oaks April 5. Last time out was an awful eleventh in the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks May 2. Fashion Plate has won three straight of her last four starts and hopes to rebound from an ugly effort last time out. House Rules - has six career starts for trainer Allen Jerkins and finally broke maiden by 5 3/4 lengths January 17 in her fourth race. This after a second December 19, a seventh and a sixth respectively in his first two career starts. She enters off a pair of good seconds - last time out by a neck in the Grade 2 Gulfstream Oak March 29 and behind Aurelia's Belle in the Grade 2 Davona Dale February 22. House Rules starts from post 2 with Alex Solis aboard at 12-1 odds.

Sweet Whiskey - Todd Pletcher trained filly has placed in five of six career starts - two wins, two seconds and a third place finish. She is coming off a good second in the Grade 2 Beaumont Stakes at Keeneland April 13 after an OK third in the listed Any Limit Stakes at Gulfstream March 9 and a career defining win - by 2 3/4 lengths in the Grade 3 Old Hat Stakes on that same track January 4. She also had a good second to Miss Behavior in the Grade 2 Matron Stakes at Belmont Park September 29 after a somewhat disappointing fourth in the Grade 1 Spinaway Stakes and a win in her debut at Saratoga in August. Sweet Whiskey has looked good in her career and has been at or near the top in all six career starts. She goes off at 20-1 odds from post 4 with John Velazquez in the saddle.

Vero Amore - has eight career starts with two wins, three seconds and a third place finish - the seconds coming last time out in the Grade 2 Black-Eyes Susan Stakes at Pimlico May 16 and in minor stakes action at Aqueduct - the Ruthless Stakes January 12 and the Busher Stakes February 1. She also had two straight wins at Parx last year. Vero Amore made her graded stakes April 5 and finished fourth in the Grade 2 Gazelle having placed in her previous five starts overall - including a third against males in an Allowance March 2. Jockey Frankie Pennington picks up the mount from post 12 at 20-1 odds.

Euphrosyne - had placed in all seven career starts for trainer Steve Asmussen before an ugly tenth last time out in the Grade 2 Black-Eyed Susan Stakes at Pimlico May 16. Before that win she had two wins, four seconds and a third place finish including an OK third in the Grade 3 Fantasy Stakes April 5 after a win by disqualification in her graded stakes debut - the Grade 3 Honeybee at Oaklawn in March. She has two wins, a second and a third place finish in five starts this year and will be looking to bounce back from a career worst effort. Rosie Napravnik will be in the saddle from the outside post at 20-1 odds.

Tiz So Sweet - trainer Bill Mott sends out Tiz So Sweet for her stakes debut Saturday. She has three career starts with two wins and a fourth place finish - two straight win ahead of this weekend. Last time out was an Allowance score on this track May 2 after breaking maiden in December at Aqueduct. Junior Alvarado gets the call from post 6 at 20-1 odds.

Lady Paradime - Kelly Breen trained filly has six career starts with three wins - two straight Allowance Optional Claiming scores ahead of this race. She makes her stakes debut Saturday from gate 10 with Rajiv Maragh aboard at 30-1 odds.

Risque Reality - Peter Pugh trained filly makes her stakes debut Saturday after six career starts yielded two wins, a second and two third place finishes. Last time out was an Allowance Optional Claiming score on this track May 8 after an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Aqueduct April 6 and a second in a similar race at Gulfstream in March. She starts from post 11 with Cornelio Velazquez in the reins.
