This after a career defining win - in the Grade 2 Charles Town Classic over Game On Dude and Clubhouse Ride April 19 at 26-1 odds. He had a somewhat disappointing seventh in the competitive Grade 1 Santa Anita Handicap March 8 and a good second ahead of Game On Dude in the Grade 2 San Antonio Stakes February 8 and has placed in six of his last seven starts overall. Imperative has been competitive as ever in 2014. Kent Desormeaux gets the call from gate 2.

Summer Hit - synthetic specialist made his graded stakes debut for trainer Jerry Hollendorfer last April 27 and finished a very good second in the 2013 edition of the San Francisco Mile having won six of nine career starts.
