Las Vegas, NV - Delta Downs Racetrack in Vinton, Louisiana will play host to the Grade 3 Delta Downs Jackpot Stakes on Saturday, November 22. Some of the best two year olds in the land will be after the winner's share of the lucrative $1 million purse and 10 qualifying points toward next year's Kentucky Derby when they go 1 1/16 miles on Delta Downs's main track.

A full field of 10 plus two Alternate Entries have been confirmed for the Delta Downs Jackpot - race 7 on Delta Downs' Saturday card. Post time is 4:15 PM. Let's take a peek into the past performances of all 12 possible combatants for this Grade 3 stakes.

2014 Jackpot Stakes Race Favorite Entries

Mr. Z - has six career starts for trainer D. Wayne Lukas including five graded stakes already. Last time out was an OK fifth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile which followed a good second in the Grade 1 Breeders' Futurity October 4, a disappointing fifth as 6-5 favorite in the Grade 3 Iroquois Stakes September 6 and a pair of good seconds - the Grade 2 Saratoga Special August 10 and the Grade 3 Sanford Stakes in July. He is by far the most experienced entry against top fields and the odds reflect that. Mr. Z will be the 5-2 morning line favorite, looking for his first win since his debut when he leaves from post 3 with Paco Lopez aboard.

Golden Actor - has three career starts for trainer Ignacio Roncancio with two wins and a second place finish. He makes his graded stakes debut off a nice 4 1/4 length win in the minor Jean Lafitte Stakes on this track October 25 after a maiden score at Gulfstream October 13 and a second in his debut October 4. Off a win on this track Golden Actor is getting a lot of attention. He leaves from post 6 as the 7-2 second choice with Jose Antonio Gallego in the saddle.

Conquest Tsunami - intriguing Mark Casse trained colt has six career starts with five impressive wins - his first three by a combined 20 3/4 lengths including a MSW score in April and consecutive minor stakes scores - the Victoria Stakes in June and the Colin Stakes in July - both results at Woodbine. He has won two of his last three starts as well - last time out by 2 3/4 lengths in the minor Street Sense Stakes at Churchill Downs October 5 and an Allowance three back with a sixth in his only graded stakes action - the Grade 1 Claiborne Breeders' Futurity two back sandwiched in there. Conquest Tsunami has been as competitive as they come. Shaun Bridgmohan gets the call aboard the 122 pound co-highweight from gate 4 at 4-1 odds.

Ocho Ocho Ocho - will race for just the third time for trainer James Cassidy looking to remain perfect. Last time out was a win in his stakes debut - by 5 3/4 lengths the 6 1/2 furlong minor Juvenile Turf Sprint Stakes at Santa Anita November 1 after a maiden score at first asking in October. Ocho Ocho Ocho will be sent off at 6-1 odds from post 4 with Mike Smith in the reins.

Prime Engine - Jerry Hollendorfer trained colt will also try to remain perfect in his career - he has two wins in two starts. Last time out the win came in impressive fashion by 5 1/2 lengths in the minor Gottstein Futurity at Emerald Downs September 28 after a maiden score at first asking two weeks earlier. Russell Baze has been tabbed to ride from the rail at 8-1 on the morning line.

Wake Up Nick - has been impressive in his six race career - five wins and a second place finish. Last time out was his only blemish - a second in the minor Golden State Juvenile Stakes November 1 at Santa Anita which followed four straight minor stakes races - the Barretts Juvenile Stakes September 14, the I'm Smokin Stakes two weeks earlier, the Graduation Stakes in July and the Santa Anita Juvenile Stakes in June. He makes his graded stakes debut in terrific form and is listed at an intriguing 10-1 odds. Mario Gutierrez gets the call from gate 8.

Far Right - has placed in four of five career starts for trainer Ron Moquett with a win, two seconds and a third place finish. Last time out was a third in the minor Street Sense Stakes at Churchill Downs October 26 after a fourth in his only graded stakes action - the Grade 2 Futurity Stakes at Belmont Park October 5. Far Right looks for his first stakes win Saturday with Corey Lanerie in the irons from post 9 at 10-1 on the morning line.

Red Button - is coming off a good second in the minor Zuma Beach Stakes at Santa Anita October 5 which followed a sixth in his only graded stakes start - the Grade 1 Del Mar Futurity September 3 and a maiden score in his second career start. He looks to keep some momentum going when he leaves from post 7 with Tyler Baze guiding him at 12-1 odds.

Saratoga Heater - Albert Stall trainee has three career starts with two wins - the best of which coming last time out in the minor $150,000 Bertram F. Bongard Stakes at Belmont Park September 21. Joel Rosario has been tabbed to ride the 15-1 shot from post 5.

Dekabrist - Gennadi Dorochenko trained colt has two wins in his first six career starts but has failed to place in his last four overall. Last time out was an ugly eleventh in the Grade 1 Claibrone Breeders' Futurity October 4 which followed an eighth in the Grade 3 Iroquois Stakes September 6 and consecutive fifths - the Grade 1 Hopeful Stakes September 1 and the minor Birdonthewire Stakes at Gulfstream in July. Jesus Rios gets the call aboard the 30-1 longest shot in the field from gate 2.

Unblunted - Alternate Entry has two career starts with a win and a second place finish. He is coming off a maiden score after a second in a similar race in his debut. Joe Talamo may ride Saturday.

Two Six Wins - Alternate Entry Michael Pender trainee has one win in three career starts and is coming off a fifth in the Grade 2 Best Pal Stakes at Del Mar August 3. Martin Pedroza may get the call is he does indeed race.
