Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 3 Delta Downs Princess Stakes is on tap for Delta Downs Racetrack in Vinton, Louisiana this Saturday, November 22. Two year old fillies will be featured as they chase the winner's share of the $400,000 purse for one mile on Delta Downs's main track.

2014 Princess Stakes Race Favorite Entries

Take Charge Brandi 30-1 - D Wayne Lukas trained filly posted a maiden score at first asking and then went on to a very good second in the Grade 3 Shuylerville Stakes at Saratoga July 18. She had fallen off after that losing three straight by a combined 36 1/2 lengths - an eighth in the Grade 1 Darley Alcibiades Stakes at Keeneland October 3 after fifths in the Grade 2 Pocahontas Stakes September 6 and the Adirondack Stakes in August. But she bounced back last time out with an upset win on the biggest stage winning the 14 Hands Winery Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies at 61-1 odds November 1. She is the most experienced entry in the field and off a win in the Breeders' Cup has to be in the conversation. Fourth different jockey in her last four starts Paco Lopez has been tabbed to ride the 2-1 morning line favorite from post 6.

Vivian Da Bling - Bret Calhoun trained filly has been impressive in her four race career - three wins so far. Last time out was a front running win in the minor My Trusty Cat Stakes on this very track October 24 after a fourth in her only graded stakes action - ahead of Take Charge Brandi the Grade 2 Adirondack Stakes at Saratoga in August. Before that were two wins at Lone Star including the minor TTA Sales Futurity in July. She looks to break through in graded stakes action for the first time with Chris Rosier in the saddle from post 7 as the 3-1 morning line second choice.

Skipalute - Eddie Kenneally trained filly has three runner-up finishes in four career starts - the best of which coming last time out in the Grade 2 Matron Stakes at Belmont Park October 5 - her only stakes action to date. Skipalute has been competitive every time out and will hope to be again Saturday in her two-turn debut with Corey Lanerie aboard from post 5 at 6-1 odds.

Temper Mint Patty - Dale Romans pupil has three career starts with two wins and a second place finish. Last time out was a second in the minor Maid of the Mist Stakes at Belmont Park October 18 after two wins to start her career including the minor Joseph A. Gimma Stakes in September 21. Temper Mint Patty makes her graded stakes debut in good form from post 3 with Joel Rosario in the saddle at 8-1 odds.

Majestic Presence - will race for the fifth time for trainer Jerry Hollendorfer having recorded one win and a third place finish in four career starts. Last time out was a disappointing ninth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile after an OK fourth in the Grade 1 Chandelier Stakes at Santa Anita in September, a maiden score in August and a third in her debut in July. Majestic Presence looks for her first good result in graded stakes company Saturday with Russell Baze in the irons from gate 10 at 8-1 on the morning line.

Miss Mandate Mark Casse trained filly has hit the board just once in five career starts - a maiden score last time out at Santa Anita October 24. Her only stakes action came two back - a fifth in the minor Oak Tree Juvenile Fillies Turf at Del Mar in September. She leaves from post 4 with Shaun Bridgmohan aboard from post 4 at 10-1 odds.

Sharla Rae - has five career starts with three wins including the minor Pike Place Dancer Stakes last time out at Golden Gate October 25 and the minor Barretts Debutante Stakes at Los Alamitos in September. She has failed to place in her two graded stakes starts - a sixth in the Grade 1 Chandelier Stakes two back and a fourth in the Grade 2 Sorrento Stakes at Del Mar in August. Sharla Rae is an interesting 10-1 shot for Saturday's race. She leaves from post 9 with Kyle Frey in the reins.

Spooled - multiple stakes winner will race for the sixth time for trainer Juan Arias. She enters off consecutive minor stakes wins at Indiana Grand Race Course - the Miss Indiana Stakes November 1 and the Indiana Stallion Stakes October 1. She makes her graded stakes debut Saturday in good form with Fernando De La Cruz in the saddle from post 8 at 15/1 odds.

Lil Super Bear - has three career starts for trainer Austin Gustafson with two wins - the best of which came last time out in the minor Permian Basin Stakes at Zia Park. She takes a huge step up in competition Saturday with Quincey Hamilton aboard from post 2 at 20-1 on the morning line.

Divine Dawn - Alternate Entry - Larry Jones trainee has just one career start and it was a good one - a maiden score at Keeneland October 17. Kerwin Clark will get the call if she does race.

Lovely Maria - Alternate Entry - Larry Jones pupil has two career starts with a win and a second place finish. She may make her stakes debut off a second in an Allowance October 11 and a maiden score at Delaware Park in September.
