Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 3 Bed 'o Roses Handicap comes our way this Saturday, June 20 from Belmont Park in Elmont, New York. A purse of $150,000 will be on the line for fillies and mares four years old and upward willing to go seven furlongs on Belmont Park's dirt track.

2015 Bed 'o Roses Handicap Race Favorite Entries

Dame Dorothy - impressive Todd Pletcher trained filly has eight career starts - six wins, a second and a third place finish. She enters off a great win over champion Judy the Beauty in the Grade 1 Humana Distaff at Churchill Downs May 2 which followed a second in the Grade 1 Santa Margarita Stakes at Santa Anita March 15 and a nice 2 length win in the listed Florida Sunshine Millions Distaff. She also had an OK third in the Grade 3 Comely Stakes at Aqueduct November 29, a win in the Grade 3 Turnback the Alarm Stakes at Belmont Park in October and a win in her stakes debut - the minor Malvern Rose Stakes in August. Dame Dorothy has been superb in her career so car and is expected to be competitive again Saturday. She will have Javier Castellano in the saddle from gate 4 at a distance she's won all three career starts at.

La Verdad - speedy Linda Rice trained filly has 12 wins and two second place finishes in 18 career starts and has three wins and a second place finish in her last five. Last time out was a good win in the Grade 3 Vagrancy Handicap here May 16 which followed a victory by 5 1/4 lengths in the Grade 2 Distaff Handicap (for the second straight year) at Aqueduct April 18 and a disappointing seventh in the Grade 3 Fall Highweight Handicap in November. Before that was a win in the minor Iroquois Stakes October 18 and a good second in the Grade 2 Gallant Bloom Handicap September 20. She also had a four race win streak at this time last year and a five race win streak earlier in her career. La Verdad has been as competitive as anyone in the division and off two straight graded stakes win is likely to be in the mix again Saturday - on a track she's won five of six career starts. Jose Ortiz will be in the saddle from gate 6.

Street Story - won the Grade 3 Victory Ride Stake on this track last June 29 and has been up and down since. Last time out she returned to the winner's circle in the Grade 3 Winning Colors Stakes at Churchill Downs May 25 - a result that followed a second in the minor Carousel Stakes at Oaklawn Park April 8 and a fifth in an Allowance Optional Claiming in March. She has won two of her last three graded stakes tries and could be a factor Saturday. Jose Lezcano gets the call from the outside post 8.

Room for Me - raced in graded stakes company for the first time May 16 and finished a good second in the Grade 3 Vagrancy Handicap here - a result that was followed by a dominant 3 3/4 length Allowance Optional Claiming score on this track May 25. She had three straight wins by a combined 27 1/4 lengths to start her year and now has four wins and a second in her last five starts overall - pretty good. Room For Me has been very good this year and looks for her first graded stakes score Saturday when she leaves from post 3 with Cornelio Velasquez guiding her.

Expression - made her graded stakes debut in February and finished a respectable third in the Grade 3 Barbara Fritchie Handicap at Laurel Park and followed that with a decent second in the minor Correction Stakes at Aqueduct March 14. She ended 2014 with a nice win in the $100,000 Garland of Roses Stakes at Aqueduct December 6 and a pair of seconds in Allowance Optional Claiming races last fall. She has placed in her last six starts overall but looks for her first ever graded stakes win. Junior Alvarado rides from post 5.

Tahoe Tigress - will make her graded stakes debut Saturday after 18 career starts produced seven wins, a second and a third place finish. Tahoe Tigress makes her first start in nine months having recorded a fourth place finish last time out in the minor Sky Beauty Stakes here way back in September and a seventh in the minor Saratoga Dew Stakes in August. She looks for her first stakes score Saturday when she leaves from post 7 with Rajiv Maragh guiding her.

Hot Rendezvous - Gary Contessa trained mare makes her graded stakes debut Saturday having recorded five wins, three seconds and four third place finishes in 23 career starts. She enters off a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming June 4 on this track after a third in an Allowance here April 29 and three straight off-the-board finishes. John Velazquez has been tabbed to ride as Hot Rendezvous tries for her fist ever stakes win from the rail.

Medaglia d'Argento - will make her graded stakes debut for trainer Linda Rice. She has failed to place in her last two starts - a fourth last time out in an Allowance Optional Claiming May 24 followed a seventh in her only stakes action - the minor License Fee Stakes on this track May 1. Before those results were consecutive Allowance scores in the spring. Medaglia d'Argento will be after her first stakes score Saturday from gate 2 with Luis Saez aboard.
