Last time out was a slightly disappointing fifth in the Grade 1 Just a Game Stakes at Belmont Park June 6 which followed a third in the Grade 2 Churchill Distaff Turf Mile in May and a second in the Grade 2 Honey Fox Stakes in March - both results coming behind eventual Breeders' Cup Mile winner Tepin. Sandiva has placed in four of her last five stars and will be out to avenge her worst performance in a while five months ago - with Javier Castellano in the reins of the 121 pound co-highweight from post 7. She loves South Florida and is in a good position to do just that.
Lady Lara - Irish bred Bill Mott trained filly won the minor Pebbles Stakes at Belmont Park in October, 2014 and posted a nice win over Sandiva in the Grade 2 Honey Fox Stakes in March. She has been OK lately - a third in the Grade 3 Athenia Stakes last time out at Belmont Park November 17 and a second in the Grade 3 Noble Damsel Stakes on that same track September 19. Jose Lezcano has the mount from gate 2.
Kitten's Dumplings - Michael Maker trained mare won the Grade 1 QE II Challenge Cup at Keeneland in October, 2013 and had three more stakes scores that year. Kitten's Dumplings has seven wins and two second place finishes in 18 career starts and is the most accomplished of the entries this weekend. Rafael Manuel Hernandez rides the 121 pound co-highweight from post 9.
Hellenistic - Chad Brown trailed filly has three wins, a second and four third place finishes in 13 career starts - two straight wins in Britain before shipping.
