He was a fifth last time out behind the terrific Classic Empire among others in the G1 Claiborne Breeders' Futurity at Keeneland October 8 which followed a good eye-opening win with a 97 Beyer Speed Figure in the G2 Saratoga Special August 14. He broke maiden July 16 in his third career start and also had a fourth in the minor Birdonthewire Stakes July 2. Gunnevera tries to bounce back off an unflattering effort and for his second graded stakes score Saturday when he leaves from gate 6 with Javier Castellano guiding him.

Hot Sean 7-2 - intriguing Bob Baffert trained colt has two wins and a second place finish in his three race career. He debuted with a second at Del Mar in August and went on to a maiden score at Santa Anita October 1. Line Judge 6-1 - Has three wins and a runner-up finish in his four career starts for trainer Joe Sharp. He makes his graded stakes debut on a nice three race win streak - the minor Jean Lafitte Stakes by 3 3/4 lengths - a prep for this race last time out on this track October 22, the minor Careless Navigator Overnight Stakes at Canterbury Park August 27 and a maiden score on that track August 7. Line Judge hasn't been touched in three months and aims for a fourth straight win from gate 2 Saturday. CJ McMahon rides.

J Boys Echo 8-1 - will hit the track for just the third time for trainer Dale Romans having posted a win and a second place finish so far. He steps into stakes company for the first time Saturday off an impressive 5 1/2 length maiden score at Keeneland October 2 and a second in his debut - at Churchill Downs October 2. J Boys Echo has been decent so far and will be out to make some noise from post 9 Saturday. Corey Lanerie has the mount.

Thirstforlife 8-1 - Mark Casse trained colt debuted with a respectable third in the Kentucky Juvenile Stakes at Churchill Downs and posted a maiden score by a good 6 1/2 lengths after that - also at Churchill Downs June 4. Thirstforlife has been OK since - an Allowance score at this distance last time out at Keeneland October 20 followed a fifth in the G3 Iroquois Stakes September 17 and a third in the G2 Best Pal Stakes at Del Mar August 13. Thirstforlife has placed in four of five career starts and will be after his first stakes score from post 3 Saturday. Florent Geroux has been tabbed to ride.

Our Stormin Norman has been improving but takes an enormous step up in competition in so-so form. Julien Leparoux will be in the saddle from gate 4.

Balandeen 10-1 - Chris Hartman trained colt has two wins and a second place finish in five career starts. He makes his graded stakes debut Saturday off a good second behind Line Judge in the minor Street Sense Stakes at Churchill Downs October 30, an Allowance Optional Claiming score on that track September 23 and a Maiden Claiming win at Del Mar in August. He has been good since as well - a second last time out in the minor Jean Lafitte Stakes here October 22 followed a nice win in the minor Sapling Stakes at Monmouth Park September 4 and a good second in the G2 Saratoga Special August 14. He enters off a career-best effort - a 4 1/2 length win in the minor Oak Tree Juvenile Stakes October 1 which followed a fifth, a second and another fifth respectively in a trio of MSW races in California.
