Are You Kidding Me - defending champion in this race and last year's Sovereign Award winner for champion older male had a nice two race win streak last summer- both graded stakes at Woodbine - the Grade 2 Nijinsky Stakes July 19 after his win in the Grade 2 Eclipse Stakes June 7. He has been up and down since - an eighth last time out in the competitive Grade 1 Maker's 46 Mile at Keeneland April 19 followed a nice win in the Grade 2 Autumn Stakes here November 8, a third in the Grade 3 Durham Cup on this track October 3, a fourth in the minor Presque Isle Mile September 6 and another third in the Grade 2 Sky Classic also at Woodbine. Are You Kidding Me makes his 2016 debut having placed in six of his last eight starts overall and now has six wins, three seconds and three third place finishes in 25 career starts. He looks for the repeat in this race and his fourth graded stakes win in the last 12 months from post 5 with Alan Garcia aboard. Florida Won - Mark Casse trained colt has 13 career starts with four wins, two seconds and two third place finishes. He hits the track for the first time since a disappointing eighth in the Grade 2 Autumn Stakes here in November which followed a fifth in the Grade 3 Durham Cup in October. Before that was a good two race wins streak - the minor Presque Isle Mile September 6 and the Grade 3 Seagram Cup on this track August 2. He also had a decent second behind Red Rifle in the Grade 3 Dominion Day Stakes here July 1 and a career best effort - a win in the 2014 Grade 3 Ontario Derby on this track. Florida Won hasn't been impressive in his last two starts but has certainly shown form in the past.
