Master Plan - Todd Pletcher trained colt was an Alternate Entry to the Kentucky Derby. He broke maiden in his second career start and went on to a second in the minor Pulpit Stakes at Gulfstream in December and a nice win in the minor OBS Championship (Colts and Geldings Division) Stakes by 2 1/2 lengths at Ocala Training Center. He took his show to Dubai where he finished a good third in the Group 2 UAE Derby at Meydan in March. Master Plan has how hit the board in his last four starts overall (two wins, a second and a third place finish) and has looked sensational in recent training. He is expected to be competitive again Saturday with John Velazquez tabbed to ride from the rail.

Timeline - will hit the track for the third time for trainer Chad Brown looking to remain unbeaten. He steps into stakes company for the first time off an impressive 13 1/2 length Allowance score with a field-high 101 Beyer Speed Figure at Aqueduct April 6 and a dominant maiden score at first asking at Gulfstream March 4. Timeline hasn't been touched so far and hopes to keep the streak alive in his big jump up in competition Saturday with Javier Castellano in the reins from gate 2.
