Paradise Woods 7-5

Has just four starts for trainer Richard Mandella with two wins and a second-place finish. She was last seen back on May 5 finishing a disappointing eleventh as favorite in the G1 Kentucky Oaks which followed a terrific record-breaking, 11 ¾ win in the G1 Santa Anita Oaks April 8, a maiden score on that track March 11 and a second in her debut. Paradise Woods was very good in her first three starts and will be out to improve her Kentucky Oaks result was the exception, not the rule. Flavien Prat has been tabbed to ride the only graded winner in the field and morning line favorite from the rail.

Zapperkat 3-1

Richard Baltas trained filly has two wins and a third-place finish in her four career starts. Last time out was a nice Allowance Optional Claiming score at Santa Anita May 4 after a fifth in a similar race on that track in March and a respectable third in the G1 Chandelier Stakes at Santa Anita in October. Zapperkat has been OK so far in her career and hopes for a first stakes win from post 3 Sunday. Norberto Arroyo Jr. gets the call on the morning line second choice.

Richard Baltas trained filly has two wins and a third-place finish in nine career starts. She finally broke maiden by 4 1/4 lengths in her fifth career start January 14 and has been up and down since. Mistressofthenight has been largely underwhelming in stakes company but hopes to change all of that around from post 5 Sunday. Rafael Bejarano has the mount on the morning line third choice.

Bernina Star 8-1

Has placed in seven of 11 career starts for trainer James Cassidy - two wins, two seconds and three third place finishes. Last time out was an Allowance Optional Claiming score here July 29 which followed a fifth in a similar race at Santa Anita May 4 and a sixth in her only graded stakes action so far - the G1 Santa Anita Oaks April 8. Helen Hillary 10-1

Phil D'Amato trained filly has a win and a second-place finish in her four career starts. She won her career debut March 25 and went on to a fifth in her only stakes action to date - the G3 Senorita Stakes May 6. She followed that with an OK second in an Allowance Optional Claiming June 10 and was most recently a very disappointing eighth in an Allowance Optional Claiming race on this track July 21. Munny Spunt 10-1

Has placed in seven of 12 career starts for trainer Doug O'Neill - four wins and three runner-up finishes. Munny Spunt has been good against lesser company but looked a tad out of place in her step up last time out. She chases a breakthrough performance Sunday from the outside gate 8 with Drayden Van Dyke guiding her.

Chocolate Coated 15-1
