2017 Yellow Ribbon Handicap Entries at Del Mar Race Track

Avenge

Richard Mandella trained mare has 14 career starts with six wins and three third place finishes. She has looked good lately - a third last time out behind the superb Lady Eli and Goodyearforroses in the G1 Gamely Stakes at Santa Anita May 27 followed another quality third behind Lady Eli back on November 5 in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf, a win in gate-to-wire fashion in the G1 Rodeo Drive Stakes at Santa Anita October 1, another win in the G2 John C. Mabee Stakes at Del Mar September 4 and an Allowance Optional Claiming score on this track last July. She failed to place in her prior three starts. Avenge arrives in very good form having placed in her last five starts overall, she has won both of her starts on Del Mar turf and will try to snap a two-race losing streak from the outside gate 8. Flavien Prat gets the call on the 123-pound highweight and morning line favorite.

Cambodia

Thomas Proctor trained mare has placed in nine of 11 career starts - four wins and five third place finishes. She arrives off an OK third in the G3 Dr. James Penny Memorial Stakes at Parx July 4 after a career-best effort - a two length win in her graded stakes debut - the G3 Gallorette Stakes at Pimlico May 20 and consecutive thirds in minor stakes action - the Dahlia Stakes at Laurel Park April 22 and the Daisey Devine Stakes at Fair Grounds February 25. Before that were three straight Allowance scores to end her 2016 campaign. She steps into graded stakes company for the first time Saturday off a third in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Santa Anita June 11, a seventh in a similar race on that track May 7 and an OK third in the minor Kathryn Crosby Stakes on this track in November.
