2017 Ontario Colleen Stakes Entries at Woodbine Racetrack

Grizzel 2-1

Irish bred Michael Doyle trained filly has 14 career starts with four wins and two third place finishes. She had two wins and two third place finishes in nine starts at home before posting consecutive OK fourth place finishes in her first two North American starts - the minor Melody of Colors Stakes February 25 and the minor Sanibel Island Stakes April 1 - both at Gulfstream. She broke through with an Allowance score at Woodbine April 28 and followed that with a career-best effort - a win in the G3 Selene Stakes at Woodbine May 21. Last time out was a fifth in the G1 Belmont Oaks Invitational Stakes July 8. Grizzel shoots for a strong bounce back and for a third win in four starts when she leaves from gate 6 with David Moran aboard the morning line favorite.

Enstone 7-2

Mark Casse trained filly has placed in eight of 11 career starts - three wins and five second-place finishes. Last time out was a second in the minor Wonder Where Stakes here July 30 after a good win in the minor Bison City Stakes on this track July 9, a fourth in the Woodbine Oaks June 11 and a respectable second in the G3 Selene Stakes on this track in May. Her only other graded stakes result was a fourteenth in the G1 Natalma Stakes here September 18. Enstone has placed in six of her last seven starts overall and will chase a second stakes win from post 5. Patrick Husbands rides the second betting choice.

Victory to Victory 4-1

Sovereign Award winner as Canada's 2016 Champion 2-Year-Old Filly has two wins and a second-place finish in seven career starts for trainer Mark Casse. She won the G1 Natalma Stakes at Woodbine September 18 and followed that with an Allowance score at Keeneland April 23. She has struggled in her last three starts however - an eighth last time out in the G3 Lake George Stakes at Saratoga July 21 followed a fifth in the minor Alywow Stakes at Woodbine June 11 and a fourth in the minor Hilltop Stakes at Pimlico May 19. Victory to Victory hopes to return to her form that saw her emerge as the best two-year-old filly in Canada while snapping a three-race losing streak when she departs from post 3 with Rafael Manuel Hernandez guiding the morning line third choice.

Mythical Mission 6-1

Has placed in all seven career starts for trainer Malcolm Pierce - two wins, two seconds and three third-place finishes - all at Woodbine. She steps into graded stakes company for the first time Sunday off a third in the minor Wonder Where Stakes July 30, a second behind Enstone in the minor Bison City Stakes July 9 and another second in the Minor Woodbine Oaks June 11. Before that were consecutive runner-up finishes in minor stakes action - the Fury Stakes in April and the Princess Elizabeth Stakes in November. Mythical Mission has been competitive so far but has yet to post a stakes win. Jockey Emma-Jayne Wilson hopes to change all of that from gate 4 Sunday.

Yellow Agate 8-1

Wii hit the track for the fifth time for trainer Christophe Clement having posted two wins so far. She won her debut at Belmont Park in September and went on to a terrific victory in the G1 Frizette Stakes on that track in October but has struggled in two starts since. Last time out was a fourth in the minor Alma North Stakes at Laurel Park which followed a tenth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies in November. Yellow Agate was a beast early in her career and hopes to rediscover that form from the outside post 9 Sunday. Luis Contreras is scheduled to ride.

Valentine Wish 10-1

Has just two wins and a second-place finish in eight career starts for trainer Victoria Oliver. She arrives off an Allowance score at Ellis Park August 5 which followed a second in a similar race on tat track July 2, a fourth in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Indiana Grand May 31 and consecutive fifths in Allowance races this past spring. Her only graded stakes start came before that - a seventh in the G3 Florida Oaks in March. Valentine Wish has shown some improvement particularly in her last two starts and will be after a breakthrough performance from post 7. Alan Garcia has the mount.

Super Marina 15-1

Has hit the board in seven of 13 career starts for trainer George Weaver - four wins, a second and two third place finishes. She arrives off a disappointing ninth in the G3 Lake George Stakes at Saratoga July 21 which followed a good win in the minor Wild Applause Stakes at Belmont Park June 24, a third in the minor Northbound Pride Oaks at Canterbury Park May 29, a fifth in the minor Memories of Silver Stakes at Aqueduct April 23, another fifth in the G3 Florida Oaks March 11 and an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Tampa Bay in February. Super Marina has been up and down so far and will be after a bounce back effort from gate 8 Sunday. Gary Boulanger will be in the irons.

Reverse 20-1

Ricky Griffith trained filly has 11 career starts with four wins and three third-place finishes - all on this track. She steps into graded stakes company for the first time Sunday on a two-race win streak - an Allowance July 23 and a Claiming June 25. Before that was a fifth in an Optional Claiming June 7 and another Claiming score in May. Her only stakes start resulted in a third in the minor Shady Well Stakes last August 13. Reverse has been decent lately and hopes her success against lesser company is a sign of things to come in her step up. Jerome Lermyte has been tabbed to ride from the rail.

R Naja 20-1

Has nine career starts for trainer Michael Stidham with three wins, a second and a third-place finish. She started 2017 with a two-race win streak including the listed Star Shoot Stakes here April 16 but has struggled in two starts since. Last time out was a fifth in the listed Stormy Blues Stakes at Laurel Park July 15 after a seventh in the minor Alywow Stakes on this track June 11. R Naja has placed in just one of four career starts although that was a good result. She tries to snap a skid from gate 2 with Jesse Campbell in the irons.
